# Icons for MapData

Icon files for Linux and Windows are provided.

## Linux

For Linux, the file *mapdata.svg* is a rescalable icon image.  It should be placed in

    /usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/apps

This location is referenced in the *mapdata.desktop* file, which should be placed in

    /usr/share/applications

so that the application is available to all users.


## Windows

For Windows, the file *mapdata.ico* contains versions of the icon in 16x16, 32x32, 48x48, 64x64, and 128x128 pixels.

This icon file should be used in a Windows shortcut file (\*.lnk) for *mapdata.py*.
