World Monitor is a dashboard that brings together news and geopolitical,
infrastructure and market data on one page in the browser.

This port installs the self-hosted web application: the built frontend, the
API handlers, the local API server that runs them, a Redis REST proxy, a
relay service for aircraft, ship, siren and Telegram data, and a seed
service that keeps the data in Redis up to date. A web server such as nginx
serves the frontend and forwards requests below /api/ to the local API
server. Redis is required and installed as a dependency.

At least 4 GB of memory are recommended, both for building the port and for
running all its services.

The command-line client is a separate port, www/worldmonitor-cli. It is not
needed for the dashboard.

Many panels need API keys of the data providers; most of them are free and go
into the configuration file. Panels without a key stay empty.

The Pro panels do not work in this port. Pro is a paid service of
worldmonitor.app that a self-hosted installation cannot reach. The sign-in
buttons work when the port is built with a Clerk publishable key of your own,
but they do not unlock the Pro panels.
